Are you a Sweepstakes
winner?

Here's what we'll need from you to claim your prize.

Sweeppea Winners - Here's what we'll need from you to claim your prize.

Why are we contacting you?

People win all the time!

Most likely because you won a prize. Momares, LLC d.b.a. Sweeppea, is a nationally recognized sweepstakes and contests administrator for companies and agencies. We administer promotions for some of the world’s best companies. As a promotions administrator our job is to ensure that the Sponsor and the winner(s) comply with the Official Rules. Determining compliance may require that we ask for information (never money) from you. This information maybe your Social Security number (for tax reporting to the IRS), your Driver’s License (to verify that you are you) or it may simply be your address to ship the prize(s) to.

I received a notification from Sweeppea. Is this for real?

Most likely we are notifying you of your good fortune.

Now, sweepstakes, giveaways, and contests are governed by a complex set of laws and regulations, which are intended to protect you, the consumer from fraud. If you are being asked for money to pay for taxes, shipping, or anything at all before receiving the prize, then it is a scam for sure.
DO NOT SEND MONEY. DO NOT SEND A SINGLE PENNY.

Why are we asking for your Social Security Number?

For prizes tax reporting.

  • We are required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to report winners of prize(s) $600 or more for tax purposes.
  • We report your winnings using the IRS 1099-MISC form that requires the winner’s Social Security number to ensure the reporting is attributed to the right person.
  • You will receive a copy of the 1099-MISC in January.
  • By not providing your complete Social Security Number you choose to forfeit your prize(s).
  • We will ONLY use your SS# for IRS winnings reporting or background checks.
  • The Sponsor may require a background check if the winner(s) is going to receive “special access” to an event.

How we protect your Personally Identifiable Information and Social Security Number?

We encrypt your SS# and use it only for tax reporting.

  • You are submitting your data inside our https://winners.sweeppea.com/ password protected environment.
  • Your data is encrypted at all times during exchange. Meaning, no one can read it without a special key or password.
  • We use Industry-Standard SSL Encryption, intrusion detection systems, daily backups and security audits.
  • We will not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone. Your Social Security Number will ONLY be used to complete and submit a 1099 MISC to the IRS if you won a Prize exceeding $600 in value.

What does “potential winner” mean?

We need to verify that you meet eligibility requirements to win.

  • It means that the sweepstakes administrator (us) must confirm that the winner(s) has met the eligibility criteria as specified on the Official Rules. The potential winner(s) becomes the confirmed winner once all prize acceptance requirements are met. For ex. The winner(s) may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release.
